Thinking aloud: All Familiar Elsewhere...No More

By Mahfuz Mundadu. What sounds all familiar elsewhere, only a few years ago, is now becoming a recurring decimal in our daily chore. Not that one is an incurable worrywart,
but if the truth must be told “our” inept and corrupt leaders have perfected a plan towards the nation’s ultimate decent to anarchy. Yet even a cursory look at the Government’s approach to the critical issues of leadership at all levels, suggest that a myriads of qualms shouldn’t be out of consign.
Security wise, Nigerian has been in the decline since the inglorious years of the then Military Junta under the demagoguery and despotic Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. The Kafanchan unfortunate incidence in which a Christian Evangelist, Bako by name,  insulted the personality of the Holy Prophet of Islam provoked a protest from the Muslim community which was meted with gangster-like assault leading to lost of precious lives and valuable properties on both sides of the religious divides. In the midst of the strife, the Principal culprit was smuggled out of the nation, to a yet to be disclosed destination.
If the incident then was atrocious, what followed was awfully wild. The Federal Government’s agents of coercion travelled hundreds of kilometers away from the crime scene, which was Kafanchan and made series of arrests in cities as far as Zaria and Yola. The centre of appeal in this stream of persecution was the Revered Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and his disciples. Neither Sheikh  nor any of his disciples ever took part or supported the strife. In fact it was on record that when tempers were high, with reprisal drums being beaten, the Revered Sheikh was the lone voice of reasoning that persistently advised Muslims against retaliation. At least the ABU students that gathered at ABU Zaria mosque on that fateful day will bare testimony to the effect that Sheikhs disciples were the ones going round the campus to calm nerves at the risk of their personal safety. Apparently, in so doing the evil machination of the enemies of this nation could not be hatched full blast. At the end of the farce, a Kangaroo tribunal headed by Karibi Whyte, sentenced Sheikh and scores of his disciples to various prison terms. In the same stroke, non of the culprits were arrested or even chewed-out. With that a stage was set towards the breakup of this country through persistent and countless ethno-religious unrest being engineered by demagogue and their agent provocateurs.
On the global outlook the collapse of Soviet Union brings an end to the rivalry between the two self-acclaimed super powers. In the circumstance the United State saw an opportunity to be the undisputed super power; leaving other nations with no option but to play a subservient role and live in “peace” which, according to the Zionist-infested successive US regimes, means unquestionable obedience and blind followership to the whims and caprices of the Yankees. In the words of Geoffrey Warner : “Plans were developed to control what was called a Grand Area, a region encompassing the Western Hemisphere, the Far East, The former British Empire [ and colonies to which Nigeria was and still is part of ] within this expansive domain, the US was to maintain unquestioned power with military and economic supremacy...” And in the course of establishing that, any obstacle real, perceived, assumed or presumed is to be ruthlessly crushed and swept away leaving no trace.
It is pretty evident that the only formidable obstacle against Western hegemony is nothing but Islam. Not only as a religion but as way of life based on logic and reasoning, Islam will continue to be a hard nut impossible to crack by any domineering force or ideology. In spite of propaganda, blackmail and victimisation of Islam and whatever it stands for, Islamic reawakening continue to gain appeal within the Muslim faithful. Not only that, a lot of other non Muslims were embracing Islam as a religion and a way of life. Add that to the resistance movement in Middle East, a region where the illegal Zionist state of Israel won the Arab-Israeli war but is slowly but surely loosing the battle in the hands of Islamic resistance. The total liberation of Lebanon by the Hizbullah resistance movement  is a classical harbinger of what is reserved for the illegal and pariah state of Israel in due course.
If there is any secret to the success of Islamic resistance where Arabism disgracefully failed it is nothing but spirit of sacrifice which Islam instills in its followers as well as being an organized setting based on knowledge and reasoning. At least the secret of the victory of the Islamic movement in the present Islamic Republic of Iran was and still is enshrined in a God-fearing Islamic scholar that has come to be associated with intellectualism, self-denial and sacrifice. A leadership that is organized based on knowledge not emotion, reasoning not extremism, cohesion not coercion and tolerance not turbulence. In spite of Iran then being arguably the forth strongest military might on earth, Imam Khomeini was able to, bare-handed, sent US back Pahlavi regime packing unceremoniously.
The lesson learnt by imperialists is that wherever there is freedom movement, which if truly genuine will surely jeopardized the selfish interest of West and its puppets, the repressive regime being challenged should be supported and encouraged to respond with disproportionate force. The objective is either to crush the resistance movement or provoke its members in to taking up arms and going violent. With that the resistance movement will be fighting the government from the movement’s position of weakness. More so in taking up arms the movement might have unwittingly scare away other potential sympathizers from joining the noble cause of freedom.
In Nigeria the same script is being played. The Islamic movement in Nigeria remains to date, the only consistent, organized and result oriented movement that brings hope to the otherwise teaming populace of hopelessness. All efforts to subdue or subjugate, misdirect or misalign, dilute or divert, crush or crumble the movement has proven frustratingly abortive, yet the Zionist-controlled network of state terrorism are in no mood to give up. What come to be called Boko Haram in Nigeria should be view from this angle. If Boko Haram truly exist... if Boko Haram is not government sponsored network of terrorists why is it that up to this moment none of the arrested suspects were prosecuted conclusively in any court of law within or outside Nigeria. Why is it that those that ought to have been star witnesses in the saga ALL died in a mysterious circumstances while in police custody.
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan confirmed (not alleged) what we all knew, that his government is Boko Haram infested ( Put differently, the Federal Government is the real Boko Haram). Why is it that up to this moment he is yet to mention names? If that is the case what does the law says about somebody that is accessory to and yet withheld and is still withholding vital information that borders on treason and felony in which, to be charitable that is exactly what Boko Haram is all about?
The destiny of this country is in the hands of the citizens. We all have the option to be some instruments of destruction being used by the fraud called Nigerian leaders. In so doing there will be fisticuf between the Muslims and the Christians; Northerner and Southerner; Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo. And each time such strife happened we end up, willingly or unwillingly giving the same crooks responsible for our predicament a blank cheque to steal more money in the name of security vote and rehabilitation of the internally displaced. On the other hand we have the option to direct our energy ( anger if you like) to where the problem of this country is and that is leadership. Not only that, tell the politicians in clear and unambiguous terms that enough is enough.

Bahrain: Two martyrs as medics jailed again, children tortured and injured

Two people have been martyred as a result of using chemical gases against peaceful demonstrators. Maryam Nasir Abdullah, 80, was martyred
last Saturday on 9th June. Last night excessive use of violence by regime’s forces caused many injuries.
Shotguns were used against peaceful protesters in at least fifteen towns who were calling for regime change. The injured were treated at makeshift clinics run by volunteer doctors and nurses because the main hospitals are run by the military. Anyone who seeks treatment there will certainly be arrested.

The human rights world has been shocked by the Alkhalifa decision to continue the incarceration of the doctors and medics on trumpeted charges. Yesterday Alkhalifa rulers issued their verdict to jail Dr Ali Al Ekri to five years, Dr Ibrahim Al Demstani to three and Dr Ghassan Dhaif to one year. Several others were sentenced to six months although they had spent more than six months in Alkhalifa torture dungeons.

Ahmad Mansoor Al Nahham, 4, was sprayed with shotgun pellets as he clung to his father on Wednesday 13th June. The scene was reminiscent of what had happened to the Palestinian boy, Mohammed Al Durra and his father in 2001 when the Israelis mercilessly sprayed them with bullets as they sheltered near a wall. The boy is now at the hospital, his body exhibiting horrific wounds caused by indiscriminate shooting by regime’s forces on the pair who were not involved in protests. It came shortly after the dictator, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, appeared in his military uniform and threatened the people with more violence and repression. He uttered his threats in a meeting with military personnel to highlight the decision by the Alkhalifa to reject any reform of the antiquated dictatorial political regime.

The world had been dumbfounded when earlier this week the 11-years old Ali Hassan was arrested, tortured and held for a period that would have extended for much longer. His case shocked the world as he pleaded with lawyer: I want to go home. The Alkhalifa were defeated when criticisms came from all corners from the world. Even the visiting British Under-Secretary of State for the Middle East had to concede that the holding the boy was wrong. He was accused of taking part in illegal gathering of more than five people. There was an international outcry against this state terrorism implemented by the dictator and his lieutenants. Ali Hassan was released on Wednesday as the incident became serious embarrassment not to Alkhalifa alone but to their allies especially the American and British officials. Bahrainis have also expressed disappointment and dismay at the insensitive remarks by Alistair Burt  who affirmed British help to the Alkhalifa in security matters. He has thus conceded British complicity in the repression adopted by Alkhalifa against Bahrainis.

At another level, the Alkhalifa clique sentenced nine doctors and nurses to jail terms ranging between six months and five years for treating the injured last year. On one hand it was a comprehensive defeat for the ruling family and its backers who had claimed that the medics had planned to overthrow the regime and had stored arms in the hospital. The military court had sentenced them for jail terms of up to fifteen years. On the other hand, sending them back to jail after they had been released is confirmation of the repression of the regime. There has been condemnation of the decision by the Alkhalifa to jail innocent people from almost everywhere. Amnesty International said “today was a dark day for justice” and immediately urged Bahrain to quash the convictions, saying they were obviously “politically motivated” and the accusations against the medical professionals were “completely unfounded.” Arrests orders have been issued against four of the defendants - ‘Ali ‘Esa Mansoor al-‘Ekri, Ghassan Ahmad ‘Ali Dhaif, Ebrahim ‘Abdullah Ebrahim and Sa’eed Mothaher Habib al Samahiji.

Birthday of Imam Hussain(AS): Mal Mukhtar Sahabi calls for renewed struggle against modern tyranny

At the weekly Friday sermon in Tudun Wada Kaduna Friday mosque, Malam Muhammad Mukhtar Sahabi called for renewed struggle against tyranny
and oppression on the birthday of Doyen of Martyrs, Imam Hussain bn Ali (A.S.) on Shaaban 13, Islamic calendar.
Malam Mukhtar  Sahabi, who was speaking on the virtures of month of Rajab and birthday of Imam Hussain (A.S.) to multitude of worshippers, described the miraculous birth, life time, struggle and eventual martyrdom of the Holy Imam as unprecedented in human history.
He therefore called on the Muslim Ummah to emulate the struggle of Imam Hussain (A.S.) in our present day situation by sacrificing our all for truth and justice to prevail.

Reflecting on the current chaos in the country, the Islamic scholar reminded Muslims not to be deceived by the strategies of enemies of Islam and society in general, who execute dastardly acts on daily basis in the name of Islam. “we should not forget the warning of Maulana Zakzaky, who throughout his series of speeches last Maulud warned Nigerians not to be deceived into religious cirisis against Muslims and Christians”.
According to him, the whole aim of the wanton exercise was to wage war against Islam in Nigeria by annihilating the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under Sayyed Ibraheem Zakzaky. He said, the incident in Potiskum had clearly unmasked the people who plant bombs and kill people across the country. He said, they targeted selected individual members of the Islamic Movement for execution in the name of “unknown gunmen”.
Commenting on the situation in Kaduna, Malam Mukhtar Sahabi said it was a calculated attempt to instigate disaffection and mayhem among Muslims and Christians, with Muslims as the culprits. “They created this problem and imposed curfew on the state as a way of starving the people towards forced obedience”.
He pointed out that, the only solution to the present situation is toeing the path of Imam Hussain (A.S.), and strict allegience to Sayyed Zakzaky, whose teaching and foresight, he said, is the only solution to the present day predicament.

The birthday anniversary of Imam Ali(AS) took place at Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah Zaria on Saturday the 13th Rajab 1433 (2/6/12).
The programme was attended by thousands of people from far and near  who listended to the lecture delivered by Sheikh Zakzaky on the exalted status of Imam Ali. Below are the pictures which cover all sections.

Imam Ali is next to the Prophet(SAWA)- Sheikh Zakzaky

The Leader of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Ibraheem zakzaky spoke to thousands of people on noble status of Imam Ali (AS) during birthday anniversary
of the Imam at Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah Zaria on Saturday the 13th of Rajab 1433 (2/6/2012).
He extensively outlined the names and titles of the holy which none can share it with him even though some of the titles were given to others such as saifullah, saddiq ect.
Among the names of Imam Ali (AS) which are reported in the books of the followers of Ahlulbayt(AS) include:  the commander of the faithful, the leader of the pious, the gate of knowledge of the prophet, Asadullahil Ghalib, Ali (High),  waliyyillah ( the vicegerent of Allah), Qarrar gairal Farrar, Hujjatullah (the proof of Allah’s creation),  truthful and the trusted one,  the Judge etc. Sheikh Zakzaky narrated the many titles and names of Imam Ali(AS) as reported in Shia books while explaining their meanings.
His birth.
Speaking about his miraculous birth, Sheikh Zakzaky explained that Imam Ali was born inside the holy ka’aba . He added that during his birth, his mother went to ka’aba where she found herself in a sign of labour. At that instant, the wall of the Ka’aba split open at which he entered.  The witnessed around the Ka’abah tried to open the door of the Ka’aba but they could not do so. So they left the matter to God. Upon entering she saw pious women of Islam waiting to assist her, they are Mayram, Asiyah, Umm Musa and Sarah. They assisted her during the labor.  She came out of the Ka’abah after spending three days inside with a clean baby, Ali(AS).  This miraculous birth was never seen before Ali and it will never happen to anybody in future. He noted
His mother.
His Mother is  Fatimah Bnt Asad bn Hashim. She was pure and Pious from Hashim family. He was caring mother to the Prophet after the demise of Sayyidah Amina (SA). She also took care the daughter of the Prophet(SAWA) Fatimah Az-Zahra(SA) after the demise of the Sayyidah Khadijah(AS). So, she was mother to both the Prophet and his noble daughter.
When She passed away she was enshrouded with the Prophet’s amamah and cloth. The Prophet led the funeral which he said there was  40 lines of angels who prayed behind him. The angles said 40 takbir during the prayer, a status exclusive to her only.
His father.
His father is Abu Talib Bn Abdul Mutallib(AS) also from the pure Hashim family. He was last of awsiyyah of Prophet Ibraheem(AS).  He was a respected person among quraish. He is their Leader for his noble qualities. These qualities are part and parcel of his family. Thus, leaders always came from their clan. He stood by the prophet at all times against ills from the enemies.
Imam Ali in the eyes of Muslims.
Imam Ali(AS)’s exalted position has been covered in history, yet they are still known and expressed. There was a time when lovers of Imam Ali are being killed by Umayyads. Poets were killed for singing praise of Imam Ali. A mere suspicion for love of the holy Imam attracted death. Despite all this, the name of Ali is still written in Gold.
He is a scale by which a believer is differentiated from a hypocrite. The prophet declared’ none loves Ali except a true believer and none hates him except a hypocrite'. His exalted position among all the creatures of Allah- inclusive of all the Prophets is that he is next to the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). This is how Allah wished it and He cannot be questioned. He bestowed favour to whom He Likes.
The Leader noted that some other qualities, cannot be mentioned, though there is no much threat.  Some of the qualities will be mentioned at similar gatherings.
After the sunset prayers, Sheikh Zakzaky recited Ziyara of the holy Imam Ali (AS) followed by closing prayers.
