Fudiyya Nursery and Primary Schools Hold Annual Maulid Competition in Zaria

By Muhammad Isa- The annual Maulid competition amongst Fudiyya nursery and primary school pupil was held during the morning sessions of Tuesday 15^th and Wednesday 16^th Rabiul Auwal 1433 (7-8^th February, 2012) as part of the annual Unity week programmes

 organized by the Islamic Movement in commemoration of the birthday of our Noble Prophet (SAWA) in Zaria.

In attendance were the fourteen of Fudiyya schools from the 14 zones, with the leader of the Islamic movement Sayyed Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) as the special guest of honor that received a colorful parade by the school pupil.

In his speech after the competitive colorful parade by the Fudiyya schools Sayyed Zakzaky (H) delivered a special encouraging speech to pupil and general public.

Though the search for knowledge is a tasking job that is met with different set of huddles, its turns out to be beneficial latter with various examples expressed by Sayyed (H) in his speech and thus advised the school pupil to study hard. He reminded the pupil that the goal for education is never to graduate and earn a living, but to search for it for the sake of Allah (SWT) and to be of help to humanity.

He also appreciated the efforts of teachers of the school who have offered their selfless services for a little token while encouraging them to double their efforts in both character they impart and learning.

Parents were also encourage to be very mindful of educating their wards, reminding them the search for education at the youthful years is the prime for a solid foundation of our children, thus all efforts should be geared towards achieving this goal.

Sayyed Zakzaky (H) also call on the general public to be helpful in contributing to the development of education, giving examples of how the public can take responsibilities in providing infrastructures and facilities for the schools, since it is evident that those at the helm of the affairs are only interested in looting the treasuries for themselves through whatever means. History will of course never forget the atrocities committed by those in the helms of affairs and prosperity will judge. Though the standard we have hoped our Fudiyyah schools will have reached expressed Sayyed (H) the task and challenges is before us and it’s hoped it will improve.

Mal Nura Azare the chairman of the Fudiyyah schools had earlier given a brief report of the Fudiyyah schools with challenges faced by the schools in terms of funding, infrastructures and facilities pointed out and efforts put in place towards improvement.

In the quiz competition, Imam Bakir (AS) zone came first with Imam Ja’afar (AS) zone second and Sayyida Zahra (AS) third. While in the parade competition, Imam Jawad (AS) zone came first, Imam Hassan Askari (AS) zone were second and Imam Musal Kazim (AS) third with various prizes given.

Dr. Mu'azu Speaks on Significance of Maulid Celebration

By Dauda Nalado. The night session lecture was delivered by Dr Mu’azu on Significance of Maulid Celebration,  he stood for Khalifa Ali Abul Fatahi of Maiduguri.

The chairman of the occasion, Malam Mustapha Lawal Nasidi from Potiskum, introduced the speaker. The topic presented was ‘Significance of Maulud Celebration’. Dr Muazu started by examining the literal and the technical meanings of the word ‘Maulud” Technically, Maulud is an avenue where Muslims organize and execute a program that involves narrations, discourses and celebrations on the teachings and qualities of the Holy Prophet (S) with a view to emulate such in their life endeavours.  In addition, it serves to express gratitude to Allah (T) for bestowing to human kind, the ‘Mercy to the creations’.
He emphasized that the significance of the birth of Muhammad (S) cannot be overemphasized. He quoted the renowned scholar Busiriy in his Hamziyya and alburda poetry where he mentioned the miracles that happened in the course of the birth of the Prophet. These include, among others, the fall of the throne of Persian Emperor and the extinction of the fire being worshipped.

 

Dr Muazu then briefly discussed the history of the prophet (S). He then made a lengthy discourse on the ethical behaviors of the Prophet. He urged Muslims to emulate such because they are perfect models as affirmed by the Qur’an. Furthermore he mentioned economic and political benefits associated with Maulud. He said that it is during Maulud deliberations that the travails undergone by the Ahlul Bayt (the progeny of the Prophet) after his death were examined.
The speaker stressed the importance of truthfulness and trust in our society. He noted with dismay how the Muslims delve into abominable things that are contrary to the teachings of the Noble Prophet (S).
Speaking on the authenticity of holding Maulud sessions, Dr Muaz said that it could be deduced from the fasting conducted by the prophet each Monday, the day of his birth, that the prophet was the one who instituted Maulud. In Usul, the root of every act is halal unless a prohibition came against it. Hence holding Maulud (Anniversary of the birth of the Prophet (S)) is highly significant.

Sayyed Exposes Three Agenda of the Enemies During Maulid Closing Speech

The Islamic Movements marked Maulid Nabiyy Commemoration on Thursday the 17^th of R/Auwal 1433 (9/2/12). The commemoration was attended by hundreds of thousands of people from far and near who joined the annual Maulid procession in Zaria city.

The processions which kicked up from north and southern part of Zaria city. The tails of the processions covered several kilometers which ended at Eid Ground where people gathered to listen to the closing lecture of Sayyed Ibraheem Zakzaky.

The leader of the Islamic Movement Sayyed Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered an inspiring lecture in which he described the occasion as the most important for being the birthday of one who changed humanity from servitude of others to servitude to God alone; the one who brought civilization to the world; the one whose news of his arrival was given in the former scriptures; he is Muhammad Bn Abdullahi peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny.

Sayyed also spoke on the current global trend in which the Message of Islam brought by the  Messenger of Allah is targeted in order to dent it. The enemies of Islam have even created a faceless group in Nigeria which they called Boko Haram with view of fighting Islam, the Leader said. He expressed that  even the current bombing in Kaduna was carried out by security agents to shift blames on Islam and Muslims for the fact that Islam is described by many  as the future of Nigeria. He added that there was no real  bomb blast in Kaduna recently  as security agents denoted highly pressured substance in closed container which when denoted  gives sound like bomb blast; he elaborated that the security agents did not allow Press to cover the incident as they confiscated their cameras to hide facts.  Creation of faceless group called Boko Haram is part of their plots too, he noted.

 He further elaborated that the enemies of Islam identified 3 things to deal with in Nigeria, viz:  to eliminate the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria  Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky whom they saw as the champion of the Islamic revival in Nigeria. He noted that a contract to that effect was given to one America by name Patrick Williams. One this Sayyed Zakzaky expressed killing an individual can not stop Islam from raising as it is part and parcel of the Ummah which was running its affairs for centuries before coming of Colonialists to destroy it.

The second contract is to do with dividing Nigeria according to religious lines. Sayyid expressed this as something impossible as in both north and southern Nigeria there are large of number of indigenous Muslims and Christians. He expressed that the motive behind destruction of Nigeria is to remove its perceive influence as a model by the rest of African nations. Should Islam be established others would follow suit.

The third agenda is to destroy Islam by making it synonymous to terrorism, killings and bombings.

He however gave good tidings that this is era of Islam and nothing can prevent the light of Islam from engulfing and leading the world adding that signs of this have already started emanating.

87th Sermon from Nahjul Balagha was Treated by Sayyed on Monday

By Dauda Nalado -On Monday 14/3/1433H (6/2/2012), the activities of the Unity week continued with the lessons from Nahjul Balagah from 4:30-6:30 pm. It is an established practice for many years that Sayyeed Zakzaky (H) conducts lessons from Nahjul Balagah every Monday.

Nahjul Balagah or peak of eloquence is a collection of the sermons, sayings, preaching and letters made by Ameeril mu’mineen Aliy bn Abi Talib (AS).
The qualities of unfaithful Scholars.

This time the lesson is  from the 87th sermon, part two which deals with qualities of unfaithful scholars was considered. Already part one which deals with qualities of a faithful scholar was treated in the previous lesson. Below is the translation of the text:

“While the other (kind of) man is he who calls himself learned but he is not so. He has gleaned ignorance from the ignorant and misguidance from the misguided. He has set for the people a trap (made) of the ropes of deceit and untrue speech. He takes the Qur'an according to his own views and right after his passions. He makes people feel safe from big sins and takes light the serious crimes. He says that he is waiting for (clarification of) doubts but he remains plunged therein and that he keeps aloof from innovations but actually he is immersed in them. His shape is that of a man but his heart is that of a beast. He does not know the door of guidance to follow nor the door of misguidance to keep aloof therefrom. These are living dead bodies.”

Sayyeed (H) made detailed explanations on the above text. He noted that the condition of most of our contemporary ‘sheikhs’ fits well the qualities explained in the above text. Genuine knowledge is the one that is acquired through the proper channel. The Prophet (SAWA) was the city of knowledge. Imam Ali (AS) was the gate to that city. Anybody who wants authentic knowledge has to follow through the gate otherwise he is susceptible to collect garbage through the backdoor and present it as knowledge.

The Muslim Ummah, noted Sayyeed in the course of his explanation, got firaq (divisions) as a result of the adulterated knowledge that has been acquired not through the gate. The mujassima, karamiyya, Ash’ariyya, and mu’tazila are some examples of such major contradictory divisions. The irony of the matter is that they all claim to establish their ideologies from the Holy Qur’an. The Qur’an, however, is one. So how can it contradict its teaching? One can clearly see how the scholars subject the Qur’an according to their own views and right after their passions as stated in the above text.

Sayyeed Zakzaky (H) also added some explanations on the knowledge of mutashabbihat (the allegorical verses) in the Holy Qur’an.

“He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. But none knows its interpretation except Allah and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge. say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding. (Qur’an 3: 7)

The Ahlul Bayt are those who are firmly rooted in knowledge. They are therefore the only scholars who could provide ta’weel (proper explanation) of the Qur’an.

Sayyed Zakzaky Delivers First Maulud Lecture

Malam Abubakar Abdullahi opened the event with an opening prayer and reading from the holy Quran from Sister Safiyatu Buhari. Ammar Dantinka of Ittihadul Shu’arah beautified the occasion with poems and songs in praise of the Noble Prophet (SAWA).
 Sayyed Zakzaky (H) started by extending his warm fecilitation to the ummah for yet seeing another month of Rabiul Auwal, in which the world today is showing greater affection towards the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). According to him, Muslims in various countries are increasingly organizing additional conferences, lectures, symposiums etc spanning a time period of three months from the month of Safar to the month of Rabiul Thani, and notably the “Unity Week” (12th-17th  Rabiul Auwal) to ponders and reflect on the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) as a role model to humanity

He reiterated the responsibility of every Muslim in showing unquantified love and affection for the Noble Prophet (SAWA) and pure Progeny, Ahlul Bait (AS), illustrating various established examples and rationale behind these responsibilities that have been practiced, and yet achieveable now.

The Leader further stated that, one way to express this responsibility is through organizing Maulud celebrations by individuals and  communities. He said, eventhough some might say Maulud celebration is prohibited or is an innovation (Bid’ah), lectures on the life of the Noble Prophet (SAWA) is a recommended act that every Muslim should encourage.

Sayyed Zakzaky (H) however reiterated that we should be mindful that the love and affection to Rasoul (SAWA) did not start and end in voicing out the love for the Rasoul and celebrations, rather it is by viewing  the Noble Prophet (SAWA) as a role model and taking practical steps in exemplifying his ways and mode of lifestyle.
